![]() Lastly, what would a drum virtual instrument be without an analog-modeled FX rack? Every mic channel in Shreddage Drums can have independent FX, which include an excellent compressor, 4-band parametric EQ, transient designer, tape saturator/exciter, and convolution reverb with custom impulse responses. Kicks and snares also have an in/out (beater/sub) and top/bot mix, respectively. Every individual drum and cymbal can have its own envelope, volume, pan, and tune, or you can change all drums of one type at the same time. You can also map via MIDI learn, and adjust the volume and tuning for individual notes (even if those notes have the same drum/articulation mapped).įor even more power and control, the Drum Tweak area lets you exquisitely shape individual drums and cymbals. Mix and match drums and articulations from different kits, use our mapping presets, or create your own from scratch - it's incredibly easy to use. Pictured above is the Mapping tab which allows for flexible mapping of ANY drum or articulation to most any key. Hihat into snare? Sure! Shreddage Drums gives you complete control over advanced mixing and intelligently unloads mics and bleeds that are not being used. Want your kick to bleed into your snare and tom mics? No problem. The Global tab offers even more mixing options including a 100% completely customizable velocity curve with numerous presets, as well as a full bleed matrix. You can also tweak the overhead/room send to each mic which is very useful if you want a tight, focused kick or snare, but wide/roomy hihats and toms. In the image above, note the bus mixer along the bottom which gives flexible control over the volume, panning/width, and output routing of each microphone position. Shreddage Drums features an extremely powerful KONTAKT engine allowing for total control over drum kit design, mixing, routing, effects, and tweaks.
